"SATE" Typical Indonesian food

Sate is a food made from small pieces of meat skewered in such a way to use stem palm leaf rib bone or bamboo (now used) and then baked using wood charcoal. Sate served with a variety of spices that vary according to the type of meat kebabs. Meat used as an ingredient skewers include chicken, goat, sheep, cattle, rabbits, horses, and others. Generally satay which today are often consumed meat chickens and goats.

Sate itself known from Java, Indonesia. and can be found anywhere in Indonesia because it is often sold in stalls satay roadside or wheelbarrow and has been regarded as one of the national dishes of Indonesia. Sate is also popular in the Southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and Thailand. The word "satay" or "satai" probably derived from the Tamil language.
